Our Sunday services, apart from 8.00 am Communion which is said, include a variety of music styles.

At 11.00 am we use Songs of Fellowship which contains 1690 worship songs and traditional hymns, so there’s plenty of choice. Worship is led by a small group of singers accompanied by organ, keyboard or guitar depending on the style of the music. We hope to form a joint music worship group with our sister church, St John the Baptist at Smallwood, and we occasionally hold Sing your Socks Off sessions – usually on a Saturday – to encourage the congregation to learn new songs.

Evening services, based on the 1662 Book of Common Prayer, are more traditional and we sing from Hymns Ancient & Modern Revised. The 1st at 7.00 is Compline (except in January), the 2nd at 6.30 is Sung Eucharist, and the 3rd and 4th at 6.30 are Evensong. (For 5th Sundays please check the main web page.) Except for Compline, all services are led by our robed, mixed choir, who always sing responses, and chant the psalm, Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis at Evensong.
