Time & Talents

Christian Giving is about the whole of our life, not just about money. It includes how we give our time and our talents. Therefore just as important to our Giving Initiative is to ask what we should be doing, as the people God has gathered together, to be “Growing in Faith, United in Christ and Active in Community.”

To help us understand more about you, and if you would like to give YOUR time and talents, please can you spend 5 minutes answering our Time and Talents questionnaire – you can download the questionnaire here.

Alternatively, make a cup of tea or coffee and then submit your answers below – mark an ‘O’ in the box if you are interested in helping out on an occasional basis or with an “R” if on a regular basis, or an “M” for more information. To move to the next question just click “Next “.

When the survey is complete please click “Submit”.

Do you have any other suggestions of things we could be doing as a church? Let us know below and who knows, combining your suggestions with things people have told us they can do could lead to something brand new…

It’s funny what you discover about people when you ask. We are conscious that within St Mary’s there is a wide range of life experience and skills. We’d love to find out what gifts and talents we have in our church family so that we could be sharing them both to benefit others and to use the gifts that God has given us creatively. Wouldn’t it be great if you discovered that someone else shared your passion or that you had the answer to another’s problem? So, what skills or experience do you have - professional or other - even if at present you can’t think how that could possibly be useful/relevant!!? Eg what do/did you do for a living?Do you paint/ make your own wine? Do you read novels/ write poetry/love the theatre? Do you currently volunteer for a Charity or care for a disabled relative or neighbour? Do you get hot under the collar when you listen to Radio 4’s Today program or love the Telegraph crossword? Are you part of a walking group/golf club/rock climbing club? Please let us know below and then click submit!
