Junior Church

Through our Kids’ Clubs we aim to explore ways that we can influence and inspire young people to grow in faith and learn how their beliefs relate to the challenges and opportunities of today’s world.

We have lots of fun so please feel welcomed to join us,

Bring a friend, meet new friends, and have fun

Where do you meet?

We meet in Church at the 11 am service.  We then leave the service and join our clubs.  All clubs run during term time only.

The first Sunday of the month is a time for families to join together in Church for the whole service and therefore the clubs do not take place on these Sundays.

Who’s Who

Your leaders are:-

Michaela Cheetham, Emma Stanmore & Jane Moore

With the help of a growing number of leaders and helpers we are full of enthusiasm and ideas with our aim being to give each child a positive, and exciting introduction to Christian faith through stories, crafts, games, role play, experiments, etc. and through developing their relationships with each other.

All the children meet in the church and stay in the service until just after the first hymn. Then the All Stars { 0 to 5 years } go through to the Vestry in the front corner of church for stories, songs, craft and play.

The Pathfinders { 6 to 10 years } go across the road to the Village Hall to learn about God through games, fun and songs. {Parents are always welcome to come over too if they wish}

On the first Sunday evening each month we also run Trailblazers which is aimed at 10 to 14s.

{For more details of each of these groups see their own pages under the “Children and Youth” drop-down menu}

Each year Junior Church choose a particular prayer to use in their sessions.

Prayer for 2011 – Sung to the tune of Frère Jacques

God our Father, God our Father
Once again, Once again
We would ask your blessing, We would ask your blessing
Amen
Prayer for 2010
Golden Light, shining bright,
Always teach me what is right.
Teach me to speak with kindness and care.
Teach me to be willing to share.
Teach me to remember, when playing with others,
That all of us are sisters and brothers.
Golden Light, shining bright,
Keep our family safe in Your sight
Amen
